Yes. The free cloud tier includes 1 GB of storage and 10 GB of monthly bandwidth. Once you hit the limit, new uploads pause until the next period — the free tier never bills you for overage. Self-hosting the platform core is free with no limits.
Yes! If you host your videos on YouTube or Vimeo and store static files externally (e.g. on S3), your storage and bandwidth stay near zero — so the free tier is all you need.
Absolutely. Cosmic is licensed under the Sustainable Use License (SUL) and ships with Docker support. Run `docker compose up` and the platform core runs on your own infrastructure — no license fees, no usage limits. The AI tutor and the payments module are distributed separately and are not part of the community build.
